Apparition of St Michael

Tomorrow is the feast of the apparition of St Michael at Mount Gargano, where the Prince of the Heavenly Host requested a church be built in his honour. Originally the feast was instituted in honour of the Lombards victory over the Greeks through St Michael's intercession but later became associated with the apparition two centuries earlier.

In these times when Satan is leading countless minds and hearts astray, it is important to implore the aid of St. Michael to defend the Church and souls. He should also be implored on behalf of all children, especially the unborn, since they are the little ones whose angels in heaven always see the face of the Father in heaven.

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in praelio, ut non pereamus in tremendo judicio.
