On Adoration

I will always love the silence and solitude of night adoration, when the sense of Christ's presence is heightened by the flickering sanctuary lamp in near darkness and one hears that small, still voice beckoning you to draw ever closer to Him. I sometimes wish that I could spend every moment of my life in front of the tabernacle. There I would lay before Him my mind, body and soul, waiting for just one word, one touch, one glance. It is truly the one of the greatest events, or rather encounters, which could be experienced in the life of any man or woman, the moment when Creator and creature come face to face.
