With National Geographic Channel screening a new series on "fetal development in the animal kingdom, unlocking mysteries of one of nature's most remarkable journeys", I would not be surprised if animal fetuses suddenly become a protected species while human fetuses remain mere "accidents" which can easily be destroyed and disposed. It has amused me that we have such a fascination for the animal kingdom while considering our own 'species' as being worthless.
