What are Catholics in the modern Church being fed when they see apparitions of Our Lord and His mother amidst assorted foodstuffs, yet don't see the only real and true miracle taking place in the world, when every day at the altar, at the evocation of the priest, Christ is made present body and blood, soul and divinity?

While many will no doubt regard this as mere ignorance, it is still irreverence and needs to be corrected. Recently Pope Benedict XVI lamented Catholics losing their sense of the sacred and it would appear this is what happens, Catholics go looking for it in the wrong places or not at all.
